Application:1. Feed grade calcium formate: 1. As a new feed additive. Feeding calcium formate for weight gain and using calcium formate as feed additive can promote appetite and reduce diarrhea rate of piglets. Dietary supplementation of 1 ~ 1.5 calcium formate can significantly improve the performance of weaned piglets. A German study found that supplementation of 1.3 calcium formate can improve feed conversion rate by 7 ~ 8, and supplementation of 0.9 can reduce the incidence of diarrhea in weaned piglets. Zheng Jianhua (1994) added 1.5 calcium formate to the diet of piglets weaned at 28 days of age and fed for 25 days, the daily gain of piglets increased by 7.3, feed conversion rate by 2.53, protein and energy utilization rate by 10.3 and 9.8, respectively, and diarrhea of piglets was significantly reduced. Wu Tianxing (2002) Added calcium formate to the diet of three-way hybrid weaned piglets, and the daily gain increased by 3, the feed conversion rate increased by 9, and the diarrhea rate of piglets decreased by 45.7. Other things to note are: calcium formate is effective before and after weaning because the piglets' own hydrochloric acid production increases with age; Calcium formate contains 30 easy to absorb calcium, in the preparation of feed should pay attention to adjust the proportion of calcium and phosphorus.2.
